I already love the new in-game Recipe Tree and Raw Materials List for several reasons including being able to see what materials I need without having to tab out all the time and linking directly to the Crafting and Gathering Logs. My favourite feature of it is the ability to right-click on a material in the Raw Materials List to take me to the gathering log where I can click on it to view its location on the map and click on the nearest aetheryte for convenient teleportation. That feature alone makes it worth using, nevermind all of the other features it has.
That said, I'd like to suggest a few quality of life improvements to this system.
1. I would like the ability to be able to link more than one recipe with the Raw Materials List at the same time. This would let me generate a shopping list for everything that I need rather than just one recipe at a time.
2. The addition of optional sort and/or filter options to the Raw Materials List such as by crafted item, location, and by gathering type. This would, of course, be most useful if the feature in the previous section was implemented.
3. I would like to be able to set a number for the amount of items that I want to craft and have the "Display only materials with insufficent stock" option in the Raw Materials List take this amount into account instead of defaulting to only the amount needed for a single craft.
4. I would like a Bestiary Log added in-game which functions similar to the Gathering Log for both creature and crafting dungeon drops. This would be linked with the Recipe Tree and Raw Materials List in the same way that DoL gathered items currently are. E.g. right-clicking on a creature part or dungeon drop in the Raw Materials List would give an option to view the new Bestiary Log which shows the creatures that drop the item categorized by zone and/or instanced content. Similarly, clicking on an entry in this Bestiary Log shows the map of that zone allowing clicking on the nearest aetheryte for convenient teleportation if applicable.
5. Have the Raw Materials List and Recipe Tree available to be opened without having to be linked from a recipe and display the last recipe or list of materials it had before being closed. Sometimes I get interrupted when gathering (e.g. my dungeon queue pops) and I don't want to have the recipe list open on my window so I close it. Closing it, however, means that I have to relink a recipe to it if I want to open it again. Right now this isn't that much of an inconvenience since it's only a single recipe, but if the first suggestion above gets implemented then this would be a necessary feature to prevent it becoming a headache.
I know I can do almost all of this on 3rd party sites such as Garlond Tools already, but the convenience of having this in game is wonderful even at the level we have it now and I can see it becoming so much better!
