I'm new to the game and chose to pursue the monk class, however, I've hit a brick wall on one of my guild quests, "Burning Up the Quarter Malm." The objectives dictate that I use Bootshine on the wooden dummies out in the hall but they are all invalid targets to me. I was able to hit other dummies in West Thanalan but they don't count.
I read in a 2013 post that there was a glitch but I tried the workaround by reinitiating the quest bit to no avail.
Does anyone know how to overcome this glitch?
