For those who missed it, the launcher has been updated so that it uses Microsoft Edge WebView. If you're having issues with the launcher running, or, as some people do, you do not want to use Edge in any way, shape or form, you can turn it off:
1) Find the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file (probably under \Users\[username]\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn).
2) With the launcher closed, open this file up in any basic text editor (such as Notepad).
3) Find the line 'WebView2RuntimeInvalid', and change the 0 to a 1, and save it.
