This is common knowledge but bears repeating; as a newer FFXIV player trying to catch up on what I've missed in as thorough a manner as possible, I've been trying to complete all the available 2.x content before moving on to Heavensward. Binding Coil was a big roadblock - I got a Duty Finder group for Turn 1 only after an hour wait, and just couldn't get a group to pop for Turn 2.
I finally took the advice of many here and made a group in Party Finder, offering my first-time bonus in exchange for being able to watch the cutscenes and story in relative peace.
Thanks to the two very patient players who ran me through all the way from T2 to the final showdown last night, and enjoy the Tomestones. This game has a great community and I'm glad to finally be diving into it more fully.
