Long story short, I was just in a dungeon with a WHM who was clearly new to the game in the lvl 75 dungeon. And thats completely fine. Now this healer was making very common healer mistakes. I.e not using dps spells, and overhealing when everyone is full. Again thats fine. These are things that come with comfort in healing. What is not okay, is not knowing what your skills do. This healer did not know medica was a thing. Did not know assize was a thing. Did not know Lucid dreaming was a thing. Thats not okay. Youre playing a team based game. The literal least you can do is read your skills.
When I tried to give some tips, they werent responded to. Things like "Hey XXXXX when everyone is topped up on health, there is no need to cure. Dont be afraid to throw out dps spells as you see fit." This was met by the healer literally casting cure every single gcd. And when I say every gcd, I mean EVERY GCD was a healing spell. When I tried to talk to them at the end of the dungeon, I was met with sass and sarcasm.
Its okay to be new to the game. The more people that play the better imo. And some people want to get into the newest content ASAP when they start. ITs completely fine to use a jump potion. But please for the love of god, at least know what your skills do and take the advise you get from more veteran players.
Sorry for the low effort shitpost rant but Ive seen more and more of this lately.
tldr: New healer didnt even take the time to read what skills they have. Being new to the game is not an excuse for being lazy. Rant over.
