I've been playing on PC with a PS5 controller for a long time. I've never had an issue with it. Certain sounds (like duty pops) play from the controller speaker, and I get haptic feedback for stuff like footsteps and summoning mounts.

Until recently, that is. I don't know what changed, but shortly before Dawntrail released, I noticed that now all sounds that trigger haptics now also play from the controller speakers. This means that in addition to feeling the haptics, the footstep sounds are just played from the speaker on my controller. It's really distracting.

If I disable the "Enable DualSense / DUALSHOCK 4 functionality" option under Gamepad Settings in System Configuration, the sounds stop, but so does the haptic rumble.

Has anyone else seen this? How do I still get the old behavior where I get the "important" sounds like duty pop sounds played out of the speakers, and normal haptics and rumble, but not have the footsteps and mount sounds play through the speakers anymore?
