Steps:
1. Create a square enix account using steam as the login source here: https://membership.square-enix.com/users/sign_in
2. Purchase and Launch FFXIV through steam client
3. As Single-Sign On is not implemented the user is prompted to login.
Impact:
Even though the website permits login via Steam's OpenID and a plethora of other MMO/Games will trust steam OpenID for login, a seperate square enix login is required to be managed by the user to play the game.
Requested Solution:
Properly setup the launcher provided by the steam instance of FFXIV to use steam's OpenID for user identification and verification.
