I am (or will be) a new player and have a few questions.
I live in Taiwan and saw I can't buy the game on steam (not available in my region). I searched and saw there are different versions, so I assume Steam has the NA version and I can't get it because I'm in Asia.
I am hoping it isn't region locked here. I saw in my search there are players in Taiwan so I'm assuming it's not.
Also can someone break down the pay model for me? I see there are four editions (starter, standard, collectors and complete). Which do I get? Are the higher editions including paid DLC? If so , is it endgame stuff and extras, or would my experience be greatly diminished by not having them? I see complete and collectors are the same price so it isn't immediately apparent. And, I pay for the game, get a free month, then pay monthly, right?
Can I server hop? My Chinese reading and writing skills are poor, and I don't speak Japanese. I'm hoping there is an English community over here or that I can hop over to NA if possible.
I played the trial a couple years ago and enjoyed it but wasn't ready to commit, but now I am looking for an MMO and I absolutely love Final Fantasy.
