Platform furnishings like the Troupe Stage, the Wooden Deck etc, need to be adjusted so additional furnishings can be stacked on top of them; for example placing a manor harpsichord on a Troupe Stage or additional benches on a Wooden or Oriental Wooden Deck. Also, wooden and factory stairs need to be fixed so they don't require attachment to a wall and can be stacked; right now they require precise placement in specific parts of a wall in order to fit correctly. It makes constructing loft space far too challenging.
A couple ideas I have for new types of furnishings:
1) it'd be interesting if there were decoration NPCs (NPCs placed for show rather than the merchant NPCs already available) that perform context-based actions depending on where they are placed or what they're placed with (i.e. ale taps, stages, instruments).
2) there are currently no furnishings designed to hang from ceilings. whether hanging plants or light fixtures or whatever, the ceiling is basically untouched space.
