I'm excited to be continuing my guides about my favorite job, Blue Mage. I will not be covering where to learn spells, there's a million places you can go to get that information. This guide will be simply covering WHAT THE HECK SPELLS DO YOU USE?!?
With 104 spells to choose from now and only 24 spell slots, spell selection has literally never been harder. However, I'm going to give you 22 Spells you should absolutely be using depending on what role you are currently playing as a Blue Mage.
Note: Dungeons, Raids, and Trials may have specific spells that are required to successfully complete them, so I'm specifically leaving open spots for each job with some added spells at the end that are good to snag. Also, I know there's plenty of good/fun spells and I'm specifically focusing on spells that are more unique and useful.

(TWTT or Tingle Whistle Triple Trident is 750\1.8 Potency, the strongest attack outside Final Sting)*

- Glass Dance – 350 Potency oGCD AOE / 90s Cooldown
- J Kick (or Quasar) – 300 Potency oGCD AOE / 60s Cooldown
- Surpanakha – 200-500 Potency oGCD AOE / 30s Cooldown / 4 Charges (1400 Total Potency / 120s)
- Nightbloom – 400 Potency oGCD + 75 Pot 60s Bleed DOT (Does NOT stack with Song)
- Phantom Flurry – 200-1600 Potency Channeled oGCD / 120s Cooldown
- Aetherial Mimicry – Role Selection
- White Wind – Restore HP equal to current health to party
- Angel Whisper – Revive party member / 300s Cooldown
- Bristle – Boosts next spell damage by 50%
- Song of Torment – 50 Potency GCD + 50 Pot 30s Bleed DOT
TANK SPELLS - TANK MIMICRY GIVES INCREASED DEFENSE
- The Look – 220 Potency Cone + Enmity
- Devour – 250 Potency ST + Increases Max HP for 70s, 60s Cooldown
- Cold Fog – 5s Duration, after taking damage turns into White Death (15s of Instant Casts for 400 Potency)
- Ram’s Voice – 220 Potency Circle + Freeze (Dungeon Spell)
- Hydro Pull – 220 Potency AOE + Draw In (Dungeon Spell)
- Ultravibration (or Lv. 5 Death) – Instantly kills all Frozen enemies (Dungeon Spell)
- Bad Breath – Multiple Debuffs + 100 Potency DOT (Raid Spell)
- Blood Drain – 50 Potency ST + MP Recovery (Raid Spell)
- Frog Legs – AOE Provoke (Raid Spell)
- Mighty Guard – Tank Stance
- Diamondback – 90% DR for 10s, can’t move
- Dragon Force – 40% DR for 15s, 120s Cooldown
- Chelonian Gate – 20% DR for 10s, deals 1000 Potency if damage received exceeds 30% Max HP, 30s Cooldown

- (Optional) Second AOE Spell – Any 220 Potency AOE Attack, used for Libra Elements
- Pom Cure – 500 Potency ST Heal
- Stotram – 300 Potency AOE Heal
- Angel’s Snack – 400 Potency AOE Heal + 1000 Pot Regen, 120s Cooldown
- Gobskin – 250 Potency AOE Shield
- Exuviation - 300 Potency AOE Heal + Esuna
- Condensed Libra – 5% Increased Damage for 30s (Physical, Astral, or Umbral)
- Off-Guard (or Peculiar Light) – 5% Increased Damage for 15s

- Missile – Deals 50% of Current HP, chance of failure (Dungeon Spell)
- Launcher – Deals 10-50% of Max HP in AOE (Dungeon Spell)
- Ultravibration – Instantly kills all Frozen enemies (Dungeon Spell)
- Lv. 5 Death – Instantly kills all enemies with a level of a multiple of 5, chance of failure (Dungeon Spell)
- Diamondback – 90% DR for 10s, can’t move (Raid Spell)
- Cold Fog – 5s Duration, after taking damage turns into White Death (15s of Instant Casts for 400 Potency) (Raid Spell)
