So, not sure if this is widely known or shared, but I discovered this in my second time in Litany and I wanted to just mention how cool this is! There's no real spoilers here outside of a single mechanic for the boss, so here we go!
So, the boss in Litany, a good chunk into the fight, will eventually do an attack called Umbral Slash on the main tank right? In most circumstances I've seen so far, this ability puts a stacking debuff on the MT that would require a tank swap.
So me, being a Paladin since I've come into the game, knows that I've got an ability that will let me eat damage for my party members, known as Cover. So in the second time against that fight, I do it and I learned... Covering an ally will ALSO TAKE THEIR DEBUFFS. So, by being the off tank, you can make it so that there's never a need for any tank swaps so long as you keep cover up before Umbral Slash goes off. And I'll be honest, the fact that it works this way makes me feel so cool that I was able to figure it out! Just had to share!
