The same goes for abusive, too.
I was in a dungeon earlier and the DPS was pulling ahead of the tank, getting us killed constantly, and generally being rude to me, the healer, for not being good enough. I ask them what their problem is, the tank defends me, and all the other DPS had to say to both me and the tank was:
"Come on guys, don't be toxic." What? We weren't cussing, we weren't rude, we weren't breaking any rules, we were just telling this guy to stop pulling ahead of the tank, to not throw insults at me, and so on. I then did a YorHa/Nier raid, a Tank decides to use an LB3 when they were told prior to not to because the fight was getting really close with a lot of DPS dying, the Tank even acknowledged it, but when it came down to it- nope! They didn't say 'my bad' or 'sorry' they just wrote 'lol.' It hadn't been accidental and rightfully people called him out on it, but again, no one was swearing or being spiteful yet someone says the alliance was toxic.
How on earth does that make us toxic and why the heck does that word get thrown around so easily everywhere? And why is everyone suddenly abusive just because they had a bad day and said something out of turn? Calling a person toxic/abusive is kind of insulting to those who have had to deal with literal abuse. I'm still fairly new to FFXIV and I don't really interact with a lot of people, but when I do I wish I hadn't.
Can anyone tell me what is up with this?
