One Button-to-Level-them-Blue Mage for Red Mage Macro
(usable for any other caster DPS classes, but much simpler and easier on a Red Mage. Not for melee/or ranged dps due to lack of casting time on their skills).
Requirements:
Sample Macro (created specifically for Red Mage) and their description:
/micon BLU classjob (put Blue Mage job icon as the icon for the macro)
/targetenemy (target the nearest enemy within your field of view)
/ac Veraero <t> (casts Veraero skill onto target, can be changed to Verthunder if you like, but not anything else)
/wait 6 (casting cooldowns, this number can be set at lower value depending on your spellcasting speed value, but not higher than 6 seconds, and not lower or equal to your spellcasting time)
/gs change #BLU (job switch to Blue Mage: put #BLUE value to whatever number your Blue Mage is on your Gearset, i.e if your BLU is on GS number 18, put /gs change 18)
/wait 2 (amount of time to wait before switching back to Red Mage, can be longer depending on your latency, minimum is 2 seconds)
/gs change #RDM (switch back to Red Mage to continue your Killing Spree: put #RDM value to whatever number your Red Mage is on your Gearset, i.e if your RDM is on GS number 15, put /gs change 15)
How to use:
Additional Information:
You do not need to target anything manually, the macro will do that for you, as long as you have a mob within your field of view. Just approach, press the button, and when the spellcasting animation has finished, you can move to another nearest mob (just make sure not to get too close while the Macro auto-switched you to (your lowbie) Blue Mage so to not generate aggro from it - you can wait till you have reverted back to your Lv 80 Red Mage before moving for safety, but generally it is safe to move a bit as long as you knew not to approach the next mob too closely).
You can NOT use any instant-cast skill/spells or any spells that had less than 2 second casting time, it will disable your job switching and gives you an error message (and give no Exp). You will have to wait until you are fully cleared from Battle Stance until you are able to switch job.
Est. Time to level a Lv 1 Blue Mage to Lv 60: 20-25 minutes on Azys Lia. Solo. Depending on mobs availability (the place might be crowded from players leveling their BLU).
TLDR:
make macro, put macro on RDM hotbar, go on killing spree with just a single button press and movement as Red Mage to level your Blue Mage.
Sorry couldn't post this earlier during the first day of updates/patch, was fully occupied with big fishing for achievements.
