Hey peeps ^^

How's it goin? I stop by every now and then to try and keep up on things but I've been movin around and doing some travelling lately so I haven't really seen what's goin on for quite a bit. Hopefully all is goin well :)

I've been around the block, played WoW a while (still kinda am, account is cancelled since I moved, might turn it back on.. but maybe not, its kinda ehh at the moment) Played some Diablo 2, got into FPS's, playing Guild Wars at the moment just cuz its free, a friend has it, and it burns some time...

But at the end of the day I always end up comparing games to FFXI or reminiscing about good times playing, even though I tried pretty hard to convince myself it wasn't all that great >_<

In the end, I contemplated maybe coming back.. Would most likely be a hard decision to make as 1) I'd have to start paying for an MMORPG again, which is kinda iffy at the moment, and 2) I don't think my characters / account exist anymore, so I'd basically have to start from scratch :( None of my measly 10m gil to get me going, I remember the FFXI economy so not sure how that'd work out starting off fresh.. especially with needing the best of the best gear to progress. However, I can't help but think about coming back :)

So long story short... at the end of the day, if I decided to come back to FFXI, would you guys have me back? I know I was a pain in the ass, but I've been out and about, and around, and its now been... 1.5? years since I left FFXI... I feel I've matured a bit more, and really appreciate the end-game community of FFXI (maturity levels, general playerbase, social interaction between NA / JP players) a lot more after playing something like WoW.

I'd have to kick my own ass to get something useful to 75 (still want to try a taru pally, how's that work Pitlith!? I'm eager to hear!) so I could be of some usage, but really I just want to know if I'd be able to play with the peoples I miss playin with and shootin the hay with :) (CoP group, I'm lookin at you guys! I know you hated me but I loved you oh-so-very-much... and yes I know two of you quit and won't even read this :( )

I also hear a new expansion is coming out... so that has my interests perked. I also need to finish ToAU :arg:

There's a lot of changes in the game, you will be amazed. FFXI > WoW - that's a fact. :P
 
If i get my account up i'm not in the ls or knew you but i'll help out if you do have to start over :D

I concur, FFXI is just better than WoW. But after 3 years on FFXI (much more for some of you people, and even more for some Japanese) you need or want to do something else. Remember the days when you were a newbie discovering a new game and getting new friends?

On the topic, I remember when I used to play and that Jotaru was around, always bitching at me (not always with no good reason) and being a real ass. But I really think some people can change to the best (and some to the worst), so good luck to you if you decide to come back to FFXI. :p
 
Ahoy there matey. Glad to hear from you. Taru PLD is going well as always :D I am not sure but you might be able to bring your account back with the adventurer program they are bringing here soon.

Oh, I knew you ;) You pulled Dynamis... naked! Haha. I thought you got in the LS at some point in time, /shruggle. Either way :) Good to see people I at least know.

Lylie - I was young and stupid :P Haha. Sure, people only change so much, but when I started FFXI I was in my 2nd year of High School.. now I'm in my twenties o_O Wow I feel old...ish.. My perspective on a lot of things has changed, and I like to think I'm a bit more mature ;)

You might be able to get your account back if you just canceled your IDs, and 10M gil will take you a LOOOOOOOONG way with the current economy. In other words, it's shit. You'll probably have trouble if you deleted, not sure how often they refresh/purge their player database.
 
I never deleted my characters but I thought they got rid of inactive ones after a certain time period. I remembered the days of people deleting and coming back a month later when I cancelled my account ^^

Good to see you Samurai buddy btw >=] You still play SAM, or other class now? And where's Redd!
 
I thought you needed to hit the mob to be an uber war?

Actually, after meriting with archain last night, i realize just how unuber my war is. Good lord that dagger is rediculous.
