Just a quick thread to make a suggestion regarding oGCDs. It would be cool if we had a system in place where the game can remember inputs that include oGCDs in order to combat PING related issues. As it is right now, jobs like MCH and VPR where there are lots of weaving suffer from unavoidable clipping of actions at higher PING rates. While this isn’t completely game ruining, the amount of clipping definitely means there is a cap on how well you can play some of the faster paced jobs. This has become much more noticeable in DT where we see a lot more oGCDs added to some jobs.
As it is right now, it’s frustrating that your next GCD can be hung up so often during Swiftskin’s and Hunter’s coil with trying to weave Twinblood Bite and Twinfang Bite on VPR, as well as trying to weave Checkmate and Double Check between Blazing Shot on MCH. On VPR right now this is relatively unavoidable while on MCH you could theoretically just save Checkmate and Double Check usage for later, however you will inevitable overcap their charges doing it this way. RPR also experiences this albeit at a lesser degree with Lemure’s Slice, Lemure’s Scythe, and Sacrificium clipping into your next GCD.
Overall this just comes down to there not being enough time on the GCDs where these individual oGCDs are woven in, but this is not an issue with the job as much as it is a struggle that is met during high PING. For reference my PING consistently bounces between 120-180 cycling up and down constantly, and has been this way since the creation of Crystal with the server migration to the west coast of NA. In general it doesn’t ruin the game for me, I can definitely cope, but it does bother me the tiny instances where I know there’s nothing I can really do to get around these issues and I just have to settle with either slight underperformance on a job or playing something else.
I’m not sure if this is even something that COULD be fixed, but if at all possible it would be amazing!
