Hello! New player here, and while the game was downloading, I wanted to check how the game work regarding high levels, raiding, progression, questing, and the dreaded for some, loved by others...the one and only META™.
Yes, some will say that "play whatever you want, the game is tightly balanced" and I'm sure it is, but here's the thing, I've played healer/support classes most of my life. So I'd like something that's useful in most setups, specially in late game.
I stumbled upon a 7 month old thread that praised Scholar over White Mage, but it seems the meta has shifted with Shadowbringers (Patch 5.1 I believe). The bard job seemed like a recurrent necesity too.
So my question is: What's the most requested class for raiding and such?
Also, no one mentioned Dancer a single time. I liked the design, how is it? Good? Bad? Mediocre? Should I stick with Astro instead?
