Hi friends!
I just started playing FFXIV last month, after being a long time fan of the series. I am completely new to MMOs and co-op style play and it definitely has a bit of a learning curve. I'm currently lvl 54 WHM (on Zalera) and slowly getting the hang of being a healer in dungeons/instances.
Along the way, I've discovered this game has some of the most PATIENT and kind players ever! I've had some awful dungeon runs and never experienced anyone being rude or giving up on me (maybe I'm lucky?). In fact, some of the most helpful (and simple) advice came from these awful runs like "Hey use Swiftcast THEN Raise" or "Please don't Regen as soon as I pull, you're pulling the enemies off of me".
Do you guys have any more "DUH" advice for me? Please keep in mind, I'm still learning the terminology associated with this kind of game, so I may ask more questions hah.
My current "rotation" (I think that is the right term) is Presence of Mind -> (Tank Pulls) -> Regen on Tank -> Aero/Holy in downtime <-> Medica II/Cure as needed -> Lucid Dreaming -> Repeat.
