I just bought FFXIV for a friend and I because we wanted to play an MMO and i thought this game might be good. I'm wondering if there is anything i should know or do before starting? I was thinking about going a Scholar and my friend was thinking about blackmage or warrior (more black mage because DPS) their only concern was starting areas and if we would be able to play together from the start if we have different starting towns. Anyways I'm just looking for any information that would help a couple of newbies. anything helps!
