Hello all!
I am new to FFXIV and I'm wondering how I can make some friends? I know that I should join a Free Company and do dungeons with people, but people don't seem to be very talkative. I've also joined a number of discord servers, but the language being used and discussions are really confusing so I'm not sure how I could even contribute.
I am new to MMOs and playing online games in general, so that may be part of the issue. But then again, I have played things like Animal Jam and Club Penguin as a kid where I had plenty of online friends, but that was over a decade ago and those were completely different games/communities.
BTW, I am playing on Maduin (Dynamis). I was not able to join any of the more popular worlds/servers because they were full/not accepting new characters. Maybe that is part of the issue too, because I never see people really chatting much on Maduin and most of the time people are just AFKing around the Aetherytes.
Any tips? Words of advice? Pointers on where to find a group of people? Even if it's a group of other newbies, that would be really nice!
