I built an Interactive website that contains filterable maps for Eureka and Bozjan Southern Front. It is open for community contribution using an easy to use editor directly on site.

Hello Warriors of Darkness! I just launched a new site as a database for quests, monsters, and other important information in Eureka and Bozjan Southern Front.
https://www.ffxiv-interactive-eureka-maps.com/

I recently came back to FFXIV at the start of the year and was catching up on everything I missed since 2.3. I got into Eureka and had a ton of fun going through all of the zones and making my weapon. However I found it very frustrating to find information easily about what I was doing. Especially while I was leveling and needed to find mobs that I should be killing at the moment for the challenge log or just for grinding xp in between fates.

Discords like the Eureka Explorers, https://ffxiv-eureka.com/ and Google Docs had a ton of information but, it took a lot of work to filter down. I thought there should be a more interactive version of this data, one that would let you filter in real time. A fully interactive map to see each Eureka zone.

After the Bozjan Southern Front was announced I got straight to work building the site. I love this game and how supportive this community is. It’s amazing how the community has come together in the past to create tools for this game and I wanted to contribute something as well.

Features:

Eureka:

All maps are available. Filtering is available for all important information like mob levels, elements, and mutation/adaptations. I've added as much info as I could find. But some information may be missing or incorrect.

Bozjan Southern Front:

When 5.35 releases I plan to jump straight into Bozjan and start filling in map data day 1. There will be a slight delay at the start as I will need to create the data structure for this zone in code before I can start inputting data on the editor.

Community Contributions:

Map Editors

This site has an editor available for every map. https://www.ffxiv-interactive-eureka-maps.com/#/anemos/editor for example will bring you to the editor for Anemos.

It is very easy to add new data to the map or update existing data. Once you are done with all the changes you can press the "Save" button at the top of the page. A JSON file will be downloaded to your computer and you can make a pull request on the https://github.com/Kassanu/eureka-interactive-maps github repo with an overview of the changes you made. I will get that data merged in a pushed live ASAP.

If you aren't sure how to make a pull request you can always contact me through reddit, discord kannasu#0724 or in game Kassanu Amersu@Gilgamesh.

Programmers

If you are interested in programming, the application is completely open source! It's built with Vue.js. If anyone would like to contribute to the code base then send a pull request. I'm still doing some setting up (and learning how to handle an open source project) so excuse the little information the repos have at the moment. There are two repositories:

https://github.com/Kassanu/eureka-canvas
Eureka Canvas is a custom map framework I built for this to run on. Anything related to the functionality of the map like dragging the map, drawing, zooming etc. will be in this repository.

https://github.com/Kassanu/eureka-interactive-maps
This repository is for the actual site. This has all of the components to do with loading the data into the canvas, filtering and the edit tool. This is also where all the data that drives the site is stored.

Bug reporting:

Please submit bugs as a github issue here: https://github.com/Kassanu/eureka-interactive-maps/issues

Upcoming Features:

  • Mobile support
  • Multiple map support (Viewing Bozjan and the Castrum on a single page)

Thank you for reading. I hope this project interested you and can be of use in Bozjan.
