Apologies for posting this here, but it was the best forum I could find to post this. If I posted this in the wrong board, please let me know the right place so I can repost it there.

The new launcher is completely missing any notification about a patch being available to download, or any information about that process.

There's no progress bar, no warning that there's a patch to download, no information about size, no notification that it's downloading at ZZ mb/sec or ZZ kb/sec (which would be helpful to know to diagnose a connection issue...) The only thing you get is a vague flickering of your mouse occasionally if your mouse is hovering over the launcher because it's updating.

This is... literally unacceptable in this day and age. People need to know that their connections are being used to download something. We need to see a rough estimation of how long it will take to download. There is absolutely no conceivable reason to hide this information from customers.

Please make some kind of change to it to allow us to see the basic minimum info which has been displayed in all online games for the past two decades. The old launcher shows it, but there was some decision somewhere to hide this information now, after 6+ years have already passed since we could first see that info.

On a personal level, another reason I'm severely annoyed at this change is because I'm a heavy editor of the Gamer Escape wiki. For years now I've been posting the rough ETA of when a patch was available for download for the PS3, PS4, and PC versions, in addition to the size of these patches so people can have an idea of what to expect when they load the game up. Nowhere else on the internet keeps an archive of this information. With this launcher change, you have completely crippled my ability to keep this archive.

My own personal experience with it not withstanding, every other online game in the world lets players see what they're downloading, how big it is, and what an ETA on the download is. This is NOT an area where you want to be an "innovator" by hiding information from customers...
