What's up y'all? I'm a first time poster, and this is probably not the place for this, but I'm obsessed with creating unique classes in RPG Maker games, and seeing how they function. (My Coding ability is that of a toddler, so RPG maker's limitation is my peak; sorry.)
A class I've had a fun time creating was a high DPS Healer called: Blood Mage (BDM).
How it plays: BDM largely depends on its own HP pool to deal damage to targets, as well as heal players. This will be balanced by MP abilities that focus on restoring HP overtime, or providing the occasional attack/heal without costing HP.
Below is a short list of some gimmicks and ideas, but is not all inclusive to what I imagine the BDM would be able to do, nor dos it reflect the finished version of these ideas.
This class would start with 2 skills at lvl 1. The First of which being the setup skill required for most of your self-recovery at early levels.
LVL 1 GCD - (Leech, or Thirst, or Acupuncture..idc!)
This places a de-buff on the target that causes a bleed effect, and provides the BDM a small regen.
LVL 1 GCD - (Impale) Standard damage skill, small cost to HP, bonus damage on targets under effects of Leech. Small Regen on targets effected by leech.
LVL 15 - GCD (Death's Door) Raise Skill. - The BDM inflicts themselves with the Bleed De-buff, and does damage to self. The chosen player is resurrected with a small regen buff.
LVL 30 - OGCD 2 minute CD. (Death's Denial) - Temporarily removes HP requirement for skills, and removes any bleed de-buffs from self. (10-15 seconds duration?)
*Sacrifice Gauge is Introduced* (Attacks begin to generate 5 Gauge)
LVL 50 - OGCD 30 Second CD (Bloody Harvest) - The BDM version of bloodwhetting; All attacks restore HP for 10 seconds. (Grants 25 Gauge)
LVL 50 - OGCD 30 second CD (50 Gauge Requirement) (Pillar of Sacrifice) - AOE attack followed by a Room wide Party Heal that provides regen.
LVL 50 - OGCD 30 second CD (50 Gauge Requirement) (Alter of Sacrifice) - Single Target Attack that Provides swift cast for any GCD, and removes HP requirement for that cast.
You can see where I'm going with this --- I have a few more ideas for attacks, but ultimately they'll end up following a similar formula.
Largely focusing on DOT and personal HP management. (Again, MP focusing on for some unique skills that would offer personal regens, instead of party assists)
As Far as a weapon goes I'm somewhere between Claws for slashing at oneself, and a serrated cane/staff-like weapon.
