This is a joke, right? I got into a trial with someone I blacklisted, no warning, just from hard queueing into it to finish the story.
I can still get into a duty with them, and now I can't even see what they say. Again, no warning whatsoever. And based on an anecdote from a friend that experienced something similar, you get penalized for leaving.
I was lucky this was just a person I blacklisted and forgot to remove bc they were a little annoying during a savage. They were also a healer, so imagine what would've happened to my experience during the trial if they recognized me and decided to act maliciously.
There are people that still play this game that have done genuinely horrible things to me, far beyond being a minor annoyance in a raid, and I am still forced to share a space with them or pay to leave for another DC. And now I can't even see what they say or avoid them in queues. I have never posted onto the forum before because my problems were never That deep, but this is genuinely troubling to me. I understand this is likely done for pvp balance, but surely the blacklist can be made to act differently in that scenario.
BTW, I'm 80% sure they can read what you type, based on how often they replied to my comments on the trial (picked the least spoiler-y screenshot... sorry.) The FAQ article doesn't mention it either: https://support.na.square-enix.com/f...5382&kid=56857
