So...recently my family member has been in the hospital. It's been rough on my family and hasn't been easy...um, I wanted to keep my mind busy as I can't visit my family member in the hospital due to the pandemic. And I love Final Fantasy and thought FF XIV would help ease my mind during all of this. I had a rocky start during the trial version on ps4 and went to a Facebook group explaining what I was having trouble with in the game as I've never played an mmo before. I was lucky enough to meet a really cool guy that helped me even though (for three days mind you) he didn't know who I was. It was really cool to see such great support from someone I didn't know just because he loved the game and wanted me to learn easier. He didn't make me feel like an idiot like other gaming platforms have like cod.
I messed up while purchasing the collectors edition of Shadowbringers not knowing that i was still in the free trial and need the starter edition to access everything. And...out of the kindness of his heart, he gifted me a psn card to purchase the starter edition of the game and said "It's a pleasure having another in the world of eoreza
" I teared up. Like he didnt have to do that at all and did it out of pure kindness just so I could enjoy the game. I never expected so my hospitality from a community of a game like ff xiv, as ive heard mmo's can be toxic. But not here. Not in FF XIV. It all seems like a passionate community and is very nice. Im really happy that I have given this game a chance because just this experience has been amazing...I never thought a community would support each other like this. It's amazing. Final Fantasy VII helped me in tough times as a young kid and now Final Fantasy XIV is helping me in tough times as a young adult. It's amazing. Thanks for reading this.
