I don't know if people gonna read this, but, here we go..
Before I play this game, I played PWI from ARC, I've been playing it since forever, but the game (to me) getting stale, boring, and greedy with the pass of time. Everything requires you to pay or you have to grind, where the grind becomes a job. I couldn't having fun with it anymore, and with Covid is still in my country, my only form of media is games or movies (like netflix). With the release of Cyberpunk 2077, I was very, very disappointed with it, and decided to not play games. Until in February 2021, one of my coworker (on a work chat) said he's going to play some FFXIV. And I was like "What's that" and he said "Come play, its free!"
To be honest, I'm really scared to start this game (because you have to buy the game, and then pay monthly), but I did tried it. The co-worker that played this game too, recommend that I play on Preferred World but with the same data center as him. Finally, after the Endwalker announcement, they have 50% discount and so I bought it.
My first impression of this game was "wow, there is so many world building here" and also "wow, I'm confused". But what surprised me the most is how nice the community is, atleast in my server, Famfrit. Everyone was so welcoming, and its weird. On my first raid, the boss did this thing where he killed the entire party, and no one. I mean no one, blames me for it. I was sorry of course, and yell that I'm sorry. People was like "Np, just stand in your alliance's group". And also in one duty, the team died, because I die. And again no one is blaming me for it, instead they gave me some tip. They gave me tips,an actually helpful tips instead of yelling "Eww, you sucks" or vote kick me (idk if you can do that).
My co-worker also told me to join an FC, which I did and I was shocked that people are actually so nice. One of the FC member, gave me a mount that can transform into an airplane (which is so coll), sending me some gils (like a lot of it). I was so confused, why, why are people so nice in this game.
Yeah, I do meet some nasty people, but its like one out of 100 maybe. Its so weird, seeing an online game be this positive.
Great community is what i'm looking for in an MMO, and this game delivers. And the story, after what happened in Ul'dah with the sultana. I was like, okay we're going somewhere. Which I'm so intrigued, never have i ever, intrigued with a story in an MMO.
If you have a tips for a WHM and NIN. Please do so as that is my "main" as of now. It may change, idk. And excuse me for my english, I'm still learning.
Thank you for reading this and hopefully you have a nice day ^^
