Hello, I have been having this issue for a while and it is specific to FFXIV.
I have the latest Dawntrail patch installed, I play through the FFXIV client not steam, and the following keyboard/mouse and use GHUB or can turn it off and the problem still exists.
Logitech G513 wired keyboard with firmware 119.1.4
Logitech MX518 wired mouse with firmware 140.0.4
The firmware for both devices says up to date via GHUB.
The Problem:
Only when I have FFXIV launched and I am actively using it does the following happen. I am playing the game, doing any action, and randomly the mouse and keyboard disconnect for a moment (can hear the system sound of a device being plugged in/unplugged) and then comes back. This makes my character get stuck in the last action (casting a spell, I stand there after and cannot do anything until reconnected, or while moving I continue to move even if I want to stop, etc.). Also, both the mouse and keyboard disconnect at the same time.
This happens whether FFXIV is the only application running, or I have a browser open, or have any other application open. The only thing in common is FFXIV being open and my active window/being used by my peripheral devices. This never happens with any other game, steam games, browser, applications, etc. What is frustrating, it is seemingly random...sometimes I can play and never have a disconnect, other times I am playing and then the disconnects begin, and are either one and done, or simply continue over and over with nothing I do resolving the issue (closing FFXIV, restarting computer, etc.).
I have tried updating any and all drivers, turning off GHUB, closing applications while FFXIV is running, etc.
I have looked up this issue and it sounds like it may be a known problem but I have yet to see any kind of definitive solution.
On an aside, this only began maybe 3-4 months ago, after working perfectly fine for years. So I assume it may be when I installed Dawntrail or there was something else that changed on my end, but I do not know how to troubleshoot it.
If anyone has any ideas I am all ears. Thanks for reading.
