That's my firs time posting here but I heard about that rework for 7.01, I just hope it won't change everything because the overall gameplay and effects are really cool.
I wanted to share my thoughts, being a main monk since stormblood.
Bugs or difficulties noticed :
Buffing Beast Chakra :
We can buff any beast chakra without any form. I am used to buff combo as monk from forms, if I don't have any form it's kinda unnatural and like cheating in my head. Maybe because the old pattern dragon kick buffing bootshine only under opo opo form is crossing my mind.
Beast Chakra Gauge :
I had to adjust my HUD and put the gauge in the middle of my screen to follow those beast chakra. Despite I don't need to watch my hotbars and keybinds if I am not taking an eye on those beasts chakra enough I easily can miss one every now and then, especially when a boss or mid boss requires our attention during certain patterns.
That's maybe due to the huge quantity of info to read from that gauge while following combos and also the fight itself + the few positionals to not miss.
We might hesitate to push a botton or asking ourself where we are in the rotation itself.
Also the fact we dont have any DoT or our Twinsnake buff, they ended up as foundamental indicators to not get lost while fighting with a known rotation. So basically Beast Chakra are the only indicators to follow combos now.
I am only talking about the design for eyes and following things. The gameplay itself is pretty cool and stylish to perform.
Rotation :
That's to me the exact mirror of Endwalker gameplay with double phoenix rising to my eyes. It's also very simple to explain why we need that amounts of bestial chakra once we write it on paper.
I share a rotation below if that can help others. I cooked it with a friend during Dawntrail maintenance but it's very visual and also shows the challenge of mastering beast chakra (spoiler warning about skills for dawntrail)

When Endwalker started with a new set of weapon skills and abilities, very steady and that didn't change over patches, that made me happy.
A monk can master, flames, earth, wind, perhaps lightning soon and with that new gameplay it's way more easier to introduce that and add some extra effects to make it more wild and pleasant.
Weapon skills and ability designs :
Animations and designs are so damn cool, technically I saw no clipping so far. The sound of each of those beast chakra through weapon skills and those feral movements we are performing to attack, that's really something I wanted to see !
