Mog Station Error I2501 - Why Is This A Thing?

I'm quite literally trying to give you my hard-earned money, for an appearance change in a digital game, and your Mog Station will not let me buy it. It gives me an Error i2501 every time I try.

I don't think it's right that we have to be afraid of buying things on your website because it might spontaneously decide to block our payments for reasons unknown to us, for an amount of time unknown to us.

This is especially frustrating because from the moment I started playing I enabled the One-Time Password two-factor authentication. I have to type in a second password any time I log in anywhere, which is annoying but clearly means it's ME logging in to your Mog Station. Why would I be blocked after I have taken so many steps to validate that it is me?

I have a fast internet connection and no VPN or ad-blocker active, and I have an active subscription to your game.

Customer Service told me in an email to wait 24 hours and gave me a vague list of reasons why it could have happened, but no reason as to why it happened to me, meaning I don't even know if it will resolve itself or just keep happening.

I've never had this problem with other MMORPGS including both large and small ones. Why is this necessary in FFXIV? This is dated and strange.

Please reconsider or re-evaluate how this error comes up. Either make it stop happening (like all the other games that don't have this error), or don't make it happen if people have two-factor authentication enabled, or let the error actually tell you what you supposedly did wrong.

Thank you for your consideration.
