So uhh not sure if this would be better suited here or in Lore, but it's here.
So as an artist, I always get scenes in my head (even if I don't draw them out). Lately playing the game I've gotten a few scenes where the quest just doesn't make sense with the fact it's an MMO.
1. Titan and the fetch quest that makes you want to kill the company of heroes. You all know it, the dreaded wine quest.
Mental scene: "I got the wine!" -crickets, no people around, everything destroyed- "Uhhh... guys?" -Titan off in the distance destroying things-
2. Leveling things like botany, and such. This can be inserted into any dramatic scene but I picture Heavensward.
Mental scene:
"Were you not supposed to be fighting my son?" - Midgardsormr who follows you.
"Nidhogg can wait, I just need one more high-quality chamomile!"
What about you guys? Any quests you've been or parts of the story you've done that just doesn't work narratively with MMO mechanics without being hilarious?
