Everybody hates Eureka, that is a fact. Some less than others admittedly, but even the devs acknowledge eureka was unpopular given they had to implement the exp log and echo, and have outright tried to emphasise that when the next open area comes out for the Save the Queen questline it won't be like eureka.
To date, it is the only relic questline you explicitly can't do solo in any reasonable time. Unlike the other relic weapons, you also can't help your friends outside of healing them split from a party if they are 3+ levels above/below you.
Now while Eureka is a throwback to FF11 and old school MMO's, some of this grind is to be expected. It is relic content too, so again some grind is to be expected.
But some QoL shouldn't hurt and make things a lot less stressful and morale draining:
1. Remove the anti boosting penalty in a party and the return to spawn exp loss penalty.
Sure, make it so the higher level player doesn't get exp, but don't penalise the lower one just because they want to play with their friends. Blu's still level this way, why can't Eureka players?
The exp loss penalty stopped appearing in almost every game because its universally reviled. Nobody like losing progress, especially when progress takes a long time like in Eureka. Not to mention you are not informed until it happens for the first time unless you find out from a friend or from the internet.
2. Give an extra magicite in pagos. Pagos is the most unpopular region. No logos actions, lots of careful jumps to make to get to important areas. An extra magicite would be a boon. If not an extra magicite, then put the elemental bonus on the Cassie Earrings and Speed belt
3. Improve the drop rates of the Magicite improvement mats and Eureka haste gear to at least 5% or give some method of obtaining them via crystals.
Current community speculation is they are 1% or below chance. Even the original Atma wasn't this bad and that was much derided for being an unfortunate slog. Unlike the Eureka drops, at least you could grab them on any fate!
4. Add a 50-52 wind elemental to Pyros, currently the only reliable area to farm these for logograms is in a level 55 zone. Once you hit 50, you're out of luck without a group or the market board.
5. Improve the warped box drop rate. Currently you can only get them rarely via mutated mobs (which in of itself requires a guide) and most of the time, you still get more materia instead of anything that's wanted. Me and 2 randos yesterday chopped to pieces around 150 anubys's and we got a total of...11 boxes between us. Which was all materia and a single gold hakutaku eye.
6. Improve the mount speed. Its very very slow getting around the first 3 zones with hills, jumps, sleeping dragons and packs of mobs that require tiptoing around to avoid mass aggro and death. Hell the mob density and tendency for sound aggro mobs to swarm while using aoes that require running to avoid is just more frustration.
Hydatos at least is open enough but small enough to get around most mobs.
7. Boost the Pagos/Pyros crystal gain rate when not in a party, this will enable people who aren't always available to do fates due to all of them being on cooldown, or if they are unable to reach places where the train is currently at to still making tangible progress towards their relics
Some grind should be expected, but this much frustration is ridiculous. Its no wonder Eureka doesn't even get half filled these days.
