So I consider gathering and crafting my personal end game. I don't really like raiding. That being said, I'm constantly struggling to store all the mats I get. I have 5 retainers and both sides of the saddle bag generally full of materials that I'd rather not get rid of. I like keeping a stock of commonly used materials so I can craft almost anything (barring a lack of specific niche mats) without having to go gathering.
Now I get that limited storage is a mechanic of the game but so to is an ever increasing number of items. Each expansion adds hundreds if not thousands of new items but no new ways to store them. I feel like the amount of storage isn't keeping up with the number of things to store, at least not without paying real life money.
I just feel that something needs to change to help store things, buch like the armory inventory but for materials or some other category to free up space in general inventory. I saw someone mention a materials exclusive inventory. That would be nice but I don't know how well that could be implemented without becoming OP. I'm not asking for infinite storage or even infinite material storage, just storage on par with the rate the number of items in the game is increasing by.
