So, one thing that gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME there is furniture from an event is the fact that furniture takes up a lot of space (one slot per) and can only be purchased again on the mogstation for a ridiculous price later.
This is a problem for a number of reasons. Firstly, even if you participated in the event you may not have the foresight to buy all the items you will want in the future. For example, the christmas snowman lamp ended up being very popular with people to use as modern lights with a floating glitch. Those who didn't realize it right away didn't have the chance to buy a ton... so now they can only purchase them later for like $5 each when they're going to need, say, 10 of them for a design they want to do - or more.
Secondly, furniture takes up a lot of space as I mentioned. So even if you have the foresight to think maybe you might want something later, you may not have the space for it.
And lastly, our housing ideas always change so maybe we think we don't want something but later we get an idea and we do. But now we're screwed because we didn't get it when it was available and now we have to pay for something we could have gotten for free.
I get SE wants money but I've always felt this particular instance is just so greedy. With outfits (even though I think they should be available for purchase without using real money whenever the event returns), AT LEAST you can store it in the armoire which has unlimited space. So even if you think you might not want it now, you can get it and store it and maybe you'll change your mind later.
So I propose that if we participate in the event, we should be able to buy the furniture whenever we want from maybe the salvager npc or something (they could even have the stipulation that you had to have bought the item at least once for this to work). Or make us wait until the event returns again and make it purchaseable through the event NPC.
Please, SE. This is the most obnoxious thing and it plagues me nearly every event.
