Updates to Madballs in... Babo:Invasion have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Madballs in... Babo:Invasion

  • Networking improvements - we believe we've ironed out all of the kinks in our networking and client/server logic code, so you shouldn't be seeing "invisibug" and those other weird happenings anymore!
  • Game browser improvements - we've changed the way we're filtering for appropriate games, and as such, you should now have more peer-to-peer games to choose from when you're browsing
  • Game invite improvements - we've also changed the way we process invites, so two players with very different download server settings should be able to join each other's matches now (great for co-op!)
  • Shader optimizations - folks with shaders turned *on* will hopefully notice some FPS improvements - on some machines it gives you 10+ additional frames per second
  • Graphical setting fixes - some minor fixes to ensure that our code was actually behaving as configured using the graphical settings for instance, distortions were not being turned off with "Low" post-processing setting
  • Alt-tab fixes - we've addressed a couple of additional alt-tab scenarios (though warning, these issues seem to be very machine + driver specific - we're not able to reproduce / fix all situations)
  • Leaderboard weirdness - we've reved our leaderboard code to make it more reliable - I'm suspicious that we still don't have *all* issues addressed yet though
  • Mortar cursor - now behaves better with trees / foilage
  • Misc Pett fixes - fix for unburrowing repeatedly when holding fire, and can no longer unlock Suer by rapidly pressing SA button
  • Daemonak - now folks his wings back in when he finishes a jump (was only an issue if his super hadn't been unlocked yet, I believe)
  • Language change - we believe we fixed a scenario where the game language wouldn't change based on the property you set (we were never able to reproduce though, so we're unsure)
  • Chat macros - default chat messages are now shorterMisc UI fixes - chat tab alignmet, pause menu overlapping with scoreboard at end of match, improved icon/cursor/button quality at low resolutions
