Hey there.
I just purchased the FFXIV Mac Client (I know, I know...), and I'm having an issue. When I attempt to run the installer, it almost immediately crashes. I get a message that says, "[t]he program ffxiv launcher has encountered a serious problem and needs to close." This is followed by information about how it could be the result of a "deficiency in Wine."
I've seen posts dealing with this issue, but they're all from before Square officially began supporting Catalina. I made sure that I have the 64bit client and have given the application all the permissions it could possibly desire.
Has anyone encountered this issue and figured out a solution? Trying to play this game with my wife to give us something to do during these crazy, quarantined times. Thanks in advance.
