Just in case FFXIV Developer team still can't come up with the idea here is a simple fix.
When HP is reduced to 0 while under the effect of Living Dead, instead of becoming KO'd, your status will change to Walking Dead and Doom
Living Dead Duration: 10
While under the effect of Walking Dead and Doom, most attacks will not lower your HP below 1. If, before the Doom timer runs out, HP is100% 50% restored, the effect will fade. If 100% 50% is not restored, you will be KO'd.
Walking Dead Duration: 10 [Effect last till duration expired]
Doom Duration : 10
Give DRK The new "Sole Survivor" Ability
Marks target with the status Another Victim. If that target should be KO'd in battle, 30% of your maximum HP and MP will be restored. If the effect expires first, 20% of your maximum HP and MP will be restored instead.
Marks yourself with the status Survivor. Increases HP recovery via healing actions on self by 20%. If the effect expires , 30% of your maximum HP will be restored.
