So I greatly enjoy the freedom of movement included with Legacy, but I have one or two crucial issues that I'm not sure if they're possible to resolve, so I'm asking here.
I use my keyboard basically exclusively. I do not use my mouse at all, unless if I have a ground-target skill, and generally then if it's one I can get away with macroing I will macro it. This is what my hotbar setup looks like (currently for Warrior):
It may not be easy to tell from the screenshot, but I move around using WASDQE, target party with F1~F9, target nearest enemy with 1, target target's target with 2, and then all the skills I use are on the numpad in some shape or form. I just outright don't use my mouse if I can avoid it. I even have it set up where I can target chests, NPCs, etc. with the tilde. Used to have Sacred Soil and Eos placements fully mouse-controlled and hated it, so I made a macro for both. (I still have Place on my hotbar outside the macro in case I need to put her somewhere specific, but I have a macro of Place to throw her directly at the tank. Same thing with Sacred Soil, except I don't keep un-macroed Sacred Soil on my hotbar anymore, just a version for tank and a version for <tt>.)
So here's my issue:
I love Legacy's movement thanks to the easy turn-around, but for me the character does not turn around fast enough when pressing A/D, and the lack of the ability to press a button and have the camera either face where my character's facing or vice versa makes it a little bit less conventional. The camera is my biggest problem.
Basically, I would love it if the camera speed when turning was closer to the speed of turning when using camera-based movement. Is there some way to fix this? The option "character turn speed" does not noticably change anything as far as I can tell, and I have it cranked to 100%. I've tried putting camera left/right turn on Q/E, but the loss of strafing (or alternatively normal turning) was awful, though the camera itself was nice. Then I tried camera controls on the arrow keys. Worked pretty well, but there was a bit of awkwardness considering I use numpad for combat.
I guess to summarize what I'm looking for is something that is basically legacy W/S but camera-based A/D in functionality. Is it possible to achieve that somehow?
