It was really good. Mmos are not my genre, like at all, but being a ff fan and seeing how stories like those of Heavensward, Shadowbringers and Endwalker were held up as some of the best ff stories of all time, made me decide to try out ARR.
Now I'm not gonna lie, it was rough, it took me 2 years to finish ARR, but I decided to push through to see what the hype was all about, and (as you can probably guess) I'm glad i did.
Heavensward was where i started to really appreciate this game, the mood, the characters, the music, i was completely invested in the story, and even if i acknowledge that it's not a groundbreaking story, it does what it does so well that i just didn't care about how good it was, i was just enjoying the journey. Not to mention the post espansione patches were incredibile
Stormblood was unfortunately not as enjoyable as HW story wise, but I really loved the setting, doma especially was amazing to explored and the dungeons were all among the best so far, not to mention the trails. But what really made me appreciate Stormblood was its patches, characters that I didn't like at all were all given really good development, not to mention the build up for the War with the Empire and the fact that the Scions were fainting one after another made me really curious for the story, lastly, I'm really intrigued by Solus's character, who I believe will be the next antagonist going forward, and my boy Zenos who I honestly don't know what he is going to do.
Overall I had a really good time with FF14, I'm waiting for a discount to continue my journey but I just wanted to express how happy I am for going through this story and finally seeing why it is so acclaimed
