Ascetic
Disciple of War - Healer
Weapon type: Bo staff
Inspired by the healing spells in the Monk class in FF Tactics (Chakra, Revive, etc) - uses meditation, yoga, and the Chakras to heal the party, while attacking with their staff. Their attacks would be mostly melee range (3y) and their beefiest single-target heals would be short-range (5y maybe? - some distance that makes you stay close to the tank but lets you stay out of the way of tank-busters). They would have more "sudden movement" abilities than any other class to make this work. Action names could come from real-life meditation techniques, yoga poses, etc
Geomancer
Disciple of Magic - Tank
Weapon Type: Drum (LH) and Mallet (RH)
Mage that uses the power of earth to take hits for the team. Actions named after / inspired by real-life rocks, minerals, plants, fungi, etc. Being DoM, they wouldn't be able to equip the usual tank armor, but they have a higher variety of mitigation spells than any other tank class to more than compensate - I imagine having to run 2 cooldowns at a time to make up for not having armor.
Time Mage
Disciple of Magic - Healer
Weapon Type: Clock on a long chain / pendulum
Unlike AST, which flirts with the Time Mage concept just a little, this class would have genuine ability to Slow, Stop, and Disable enemies, bosses included. So they would be a proactive healer like SCH or SGE, but in this case by actually impairing the boss (or mob pack)'s ability to attack, and increasing the total DPS of the team with Haste spells. They would have some heals and regens to fill up the corners. This one feels the least realistic to implement - seems like it would be a huge challenge to program this job and keep content balanced.
Phalanx
Disciple of War - Tank
Weapon Type: Shield and Spear
The Spear used by the Phalanx would be shorter and lighter than the Lance used by the Dragoon; they would be able to equip the same shields as Paladins, but the shields would appear larger when equipped - like body-sized - so they could rest them on the ground while fighting. Action names could be based on strategies and combat techniques of the Romans. I have no unique gameplay ideas for this, I just think it would look cool.
