And the bad part is; I've loved so many of these night themes and listen to them regularly. I have a playlist of the night themes that I listen to as I fall asleep, and at some point last night it just clicked that every night theme for everywhere except for cities is a rearrangement of the day theme, and maybe someone more musically experienced could tell me what kind of piano that is (it's the same in every piece).
Not all of them immediately sound like the day theme and sound even better, and The Lochs is a perfect example of this.
Comparing this part of Songs of Salt and Suffering to the same part in Old Wounds, the piano arrangement comes across as more powerful and ethereal. It's a piece of music that transports me back to the days of Stormblood immediately, doing maps with all of my friends late into the evening.
What are some music appreciations you've discovered with this game, and what are some of your favorites you never hear talked about?
