As someone with a shift-based work schedule, I find it difficult to join a static with regular times. That means I have to use party finder.
Whilst PF helps us find a party easily, I'm sure we've all felt the pain of being in so so-called 'trap' parties that are not what they say they are.
Back when I played WoW, I used a great service called "Openraid" - the website allowed you to sign up under your character and create/attend raid events for current or old content. When someone would sign up for an event, the leader could see past events and reviews on those who signed up such as if they were friendly, stuck around and knew the mechanics...or the opposite!
As such I was able to clear a lot of content back in the day.
I reached out to the guys at Hero Lobby to see if they could create a similar service for FFXIV and they've been hard at work making that possible.
At the moment, the implementation for FFXIV is in beta phase, but I really hope to spread the word out about this service and hopefully make it a really useful tool for people that want to raid with like-minded people without the randomness that comes with party finder. Think of it like Facebook party invites but for FFXIV!
I've created a test event here so you can see how the site is supposed to work.
And here's a screenshot of how the event looks from the person who created it. You can see I can view their profile, their reputation, and approve, decline or put them as a reserve.
I would really appreciate if you would be willing to beta test this website and encourage your friends and static to use it. I really feel like the site could be extremely useful to us players that primarily use PF as well as to players looking to find new friends to do older content with!
