Unfortunately, while fishing, you can't spare a second to type anything (or respond), and the rest of the time, we're blocked from communicating by the long cut scenes.
How about letting us just run around and talk, buy baits, eat food, etc. between fishing spots instead of just sitting there watching the same video segment every time.
