1. b. Enable the option: Character Configuration->UI Settings->HUD->Hide duty list during non-instanced duty.
2. Complete the quests for signing up for Ishgardian Restoration
3. Attempt to use the duty list to track:
* Main Scenario Quests
* Side Quests
* New Game+ quests
using the duty list while in Ishgard. They will not be visible. The only work around is to disable the option. As designed, Ishgaridan Restoration instanced duty defeats the intended functionality of "Hide duty list during non-instanced duty" feature. Because anytime in Ishgard, you would have to disable it to track your quests.
A sign that this was a simple oversight and not as intended is that this happens under New Game+, under which you would not be able to use such the restoration features anyway.
The intended feature of "Hide duty list during non-instanced duty." was to hide the quests list while in an instanced duty: A dungeon or a FATE, and has been and is working correctly. The issue is, the Isgardian Restoration notification is using the same functionality as FATEs and Dungeons and is triggering that Hide Quests functionality, and being in ishgard, making tracking normal quests, both main and side, even NG+, annoying. Leaving that notification on, even if the feature isn't being used, a nuisance on the UI. I'm not even a crafter, I just wanted to see what it was, and now am 'stuck' with this notice on, and am now regretting ever even activating those restoration quests.
I see an easy fix for this:
Add something like:
"Hide non-combat instanced duties from instance duties list"
option, so that Ishgaridan Restoration duties don't show, and thus block regular quests when "Hide duty list during non-instanced duty" is turned on, so it can work as intended when the player is not waiting for notices for Ishgarian Restoration duties.
As an alternative, automated compromise option, under:
Character Configuration->UI Settings->HUD->Hide duty list during non-instanced duty.
Add the following:
"Show duty list with non-combat related non-instanced duties"
So, If you have "Hide duty list during non-instanced duty on", it can allow quests to show when these type of notifications are active.
