I made a huge mistake yesterday that didn’t mess with me too much. But I regret it none the less.
I usually run dungeons for three things:
1. Gil (roulette pumps out gil like no tomorrow
2. I greed and need everything (this is where I messed up)
3. Tomes
So let’s talk about number two. Why do I greed and need everything when every one else is passing on gear from lower levels and such? Aside from coke (no pun intended) and tokens who’s name I am suddenly forgetting to send my retainers on missions, some times you just wanna max out specific currencies.
Well in my provisioning and trading in useless armour and making sure I am keeping all my caster gear, mostly for Glamor and other classes that could use it assuming I go that route, I accidentally traded in some of my BLM gear that was equipped and when I was done, with out knowing, I was half naked.
Alas I had some extra gear to equip but now I can’t even do expert dungeons because I need to get my tomes up to get the gear back.
I feel like, and yes I know this my fault, that equipped gear, even though I shouldn’t have selected armoury, should not appear in any list for provisioning. I messed up my bard, messed up my botanist ….
I know, I know, move the armour to your inventory then provision it. But is it really so hard to put a flag in some database to say “equipped gear should not appear in this list” especially main hand weapons?
Life lesson and tldr: move the gear you plan to give to your GC to the inventory and only select from there. Christ I am idiot.
