Last night I ran into an interesting NN discussion, a player mentioned that they were removed from a group for simply for doing the bare minimum of their job since their healer was doing the same simply healing and standing around during the downtime.
At the core I do not agree with what the tank did since two wrongs do not make a right but they did ask an interesting question that got me thinking why are people so quick to defend healers doing the bare minimum but if any other role tries the same they are quickly called out. NN was quick to call the tank player out for their actions why coming up with different reasons as to why a healer would only be comfortable healing and nothing else even if it results in them standing around.
While I do not agree with how the tank player went about it, it did make me wonder why are players so quick to defend healers. Reason I defend healers is because I assume they are new, but if I think about that is a fairly poor reason to justify someone standing around.
