Greetings! I come today to propose this plan to the developer team for fixing future Crossworld Ishgard Restoration concerted works contribution and FATE participation:
My proposition is an instance system in which progress bars for the Ishgard Restoration are shared, and once it has been filled, the FATEs will begin and conclude at the same time- therefore preventing any abuse by changing instance once the FATE ends.
All new content since Stormblood has had instances to prevent congestion, and it would truly be a blessing if it were introduced to the Ishgard Restoration event, alongside a way to synchronize the progress bars and FATE timers in each instance.
The event was originally made for everyone to contribute to, in order to help lower population servers, as well as servers that simply didn't craft as much.
All was working fine and dandy, pardoning congestion. This congestion lead to discord toward the very people that were visiting other servers to help craft alongside them.
"Homeworld vs Wanderer" was an easy target to vent onto, and one that was misdirected and not the cause of the issue, as congestion still occurred without wanderers once the bar filled and the FATE began.
As soon as the change went into effect, it was clear that things were slowed to a crawl, and as earlier mentioned, wouldn't solve the issue of congestion.
Instances with shared progress and synchronized FATEs would fix all of this and more. It would allow crossworld assistance once again with zero issues, and accommodate every player who wishes to take place in the event- whether they be a crafter, a gatherer, or a happy log carrier who doesn't have either leveled, and simply wants to have fun in this lovely game.
I thank you for reviewing this, and thank you for the wonderful game you strive to maintain and improve. Have an excellent day, and safe travels!
