There has been a change of Innovation and Ingenuity in Shadowbringers, and the descriptions are now as follow:
Ingenuity : For the next five steps, effectiveness of Touch and Synthesis actions is increased.
Innovation: Increases efficiency of Synthesis and Touch actions by 20% for the next four steps.
When testing, innovation does indeed increase efficienty by 20%, meaning you do 120% instead of 100% quality increase per-touch without any other added bonus. However, I am confused by ingenuity; the notion of effectiveness doesn't seem to be explained anywhere. I tested a while back and I seem to remember I had better results when using it than Innovation; question is, what does it do? There was something about reducing the recipe level before, but when using it I see no change in the amount needed to max progress/quality.
