I play FFXIV on PC, but I recently bought the PS4 version for reasons.
I launch the PS4 version, I click "I currently possess a Square Enix account" and I enter my username and password.
This then immediately gives me a notification that I am locked out of my account for "suspicious activities". I go back to my PC, try to log in with the launcher and it blocks me. I go to Mogstation and it also tells me I'm locked out.
I get an email from SE about suspicious activities blablabla reset your password via this link so I do.
About 5 minutes before this I had played on the PC no problem.
I log back into the Mogstation to see what I'm actually supposed to do to add a PS4 code and link accounts by clicking "Add New Service Account", where this:
Playing on PlayStation®4
Users who wish to play on the PlayStation®4 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV are required to log into the PlayStation™Store with their account for PlayStation™Network and purchase the download version or enter the registration code that was included in the package version.
Upon completing registration and installation, start the game and follow the on-screen instructions to log in and add your license to your Square Enix account. *The product code cannot be registered via the Mog Station.
So I don't see what I did wrong and there's not even a way to add a PS4 account via the Mogstation. Trying it again via the PS4 is just going to get me locked out again so what do you want SE?
Do I have no other choice but to make a new, separate SE account?
