What are some jobs that you'd like implimented in the game as well as their overall kit?
I was personally struck by the SB AST job character the Geomancer (forgot his name) and I think that's a reasonable job addition. It would be a healer job which uses a wand (or whatever it is he uses) and uses totems to heal. Drop a totem then stand in it's radius. Similar to the fields that the healers in game use but with a shorter CD and higher potency. Another totem could be a defense buff, effectively raising the armor rating of those within. Maybe a speed buff totem for weaponskills or even abilities.
My next two are both casters based from the FFXII Zodiac Job edition: The first being the Time Battlemage. This could also be a Ranged DPS instead of caster but I figured with Mage being in the name.... In game the Time Battlemage uses crossbows and obviously time spells like Haste and Slow. This is a support heavy job and therefore should have the lowest pDPS of all jobs. One could also give this job something similar to the Dancers Dance Parter ability. But instead also apply to the enemy. Example, when paired with a Dragoon, place a piercing resistance debuff on the enemy. Or when with a Monk place a blunt resistance debuff on the enemy. Same thing with the Samurai etc. I think for balance sake that this job should also have the longest cast times of any mage in game currently.
My last thought for a future job is a caster but could be labeled a melee DPS or even a tank. The Arcane Mage uses a mace that scales off of magic power and a shield (shield is not necessarily important) and uses Arcane magic like Dark, Siphon, Drain, Gravity spells, etc. But my twist on this job is to also have the spells cost HP while weaponskills and special abilities return health.
These are all jobs that I think would be fun yet still original and I do know that one or all of these may be completely impractical. But it's still fun to imagine and think of new jobs you play as.
