Im coming off a high from the credit sequence...please bear with me because I need to pour out my feelings somewhere
Ohhhh my goodness. Omg. That story development in post-ARR/pre-HW was fantastic. The ending packed such a punch. I was complaining to a friend (who had the unfortunate experience of receiving my spam messages as I watched all of this, sorry not sorry) that Nanamo summons me to her chambers. She had this super awesome cute tea party with her girls before. Awesome, I'm gonna get the same treatment right?After all, I am the wonderous Warrior of Light. Everyone fawns in my presences and thinks I'm amazing. I've saved countries, slayed dragons, and saved countless lives! All I get from the sultana is a completely EMPTY table with a non fancy drinking flute that my character can't even reach. And this girl gets her fancy gold cup with gems. I was jealous. I clearly was not highly ranked in her friendship circle since I got no cute cakes and no fancy cup. My friend told me "ohh just you wait". And then things got CRAZY!! I was wrong to be jealous of the fancy gold cup.
My brain is in hyper drive right now, I don't think I'm going to be sleeping. I have so many things I want to google but I know I need to resist because I'll accidentally run into spoilers.
I stated playing this game about a month ago because I wanted to experience the story. I heard good things and yeah why not continue to support SE so they can keep making games I love to play and become immersed in. So I gave this a shot. While ARR had stretches that were difficult to get through, it is totally worth it to get to the amazing parts in the story.
Unpopular opinion (apparently?), but I loved all of post ARR leading up to HS. All the different issues were so fascinating to read on and experience. I enjoyed all the dialogue and talking to all the NPCs. I LOVED it. So much that I panicked when I heard they were also culling this part. I made it a mission to get it all done before next update and I did it!!!
I hope the culling they are working on makes ARR a better experience without sacrificing any world building and story telling. I personally thought post ARR was totally fine the way it is, but understand where others are coming from. I have faith that SE can fix it!
Thank you to everyone who stuck with me in new dungeons and was patient with me being a first timer. Thank you to those who saw my shout to help me get into a dungeon when I was stuck in duty finder for over 30 minutes to get a MSQ dungeon cleared. Thank you to everyone in the daily help thread--you guys are great and answers come in so fast! The community is amazing which is especially supportive to a new player like me.
I am thrilled to continue the story and see what happens. GG Square. >! Just...no more crying Lala's ok? My heart can't handle that. Also no defeated and glum looking Alphinaud. That was also soul crushing. But please do throw Ser Aymeric my way. I want to be the only Dragoon in his life. Einstein needs to skedaddle.!<
