I need to vent about FFXIV as a whole at this point.

This is going to be a very long post, I don't expect everyone to read it, but I really need to vent now.

So I've been here since Stormblood, and I'm well aware of things were different even before it was released and with that said I just want to finally let out what has been boiling over very slowly since Endwalker and what has led to my almost complete bitter resentment toward of the casual base of FFXIV which I feel has been the cause why this game has so many problems because its catered to them more above anyone else and almost every MMORPG out there has been following this trend as of late watering down everything that was once actually fun and not even modern WoW was even safe and I don't even play it, but yet players from there complained how it became way too easy, boring, and tedious like they're still at work behind their desks as their eyes turn soulless.

Why? Because money & subscriptions, who cares about fun and what the actual playerbase thinks? I don't find much fun left in this game, I'm starting to see the writing on the wall, all the bait and switch, all the lies, all the corporate silence. I'll go as far as to say the developers who hide behind their desks and never post on these forums don't care what happens to this game as long they get their paychecks and stick to a formula that is way overly stale and boring because its what keeps the Social Sims & Casual base staying in this game.

You might as well re-label this game as Final Fashion XIV - Social Simulator

FATES & Overland Content:

What the hell even is this? Tutorial after Tutorial all the way up to Dawntrail now? Why even bother adding monsters? They hit for nothing, their skills are not even threatening. The Tutorial style approach to this should had debatingly ended after you leave the ARR content.

Oh, but we got to think the low-skill players else they're gonna "quit" the game. Have people forgot about teamwork Synergy? This what kept things interesting and fun, but there is no need for it none at all I guess, and yes you can even survive overland bosses by yourself no matter the job being used. GUESS I'll TURN OFF MY BRAIN

The only time people need to party up is when special FATES are up, but even then there is nothing to these bosses. There is no bite to them, no strategy, their monster skills are so worthless it just tickles the party, its just "hit the target". GUESS I'll TURN OFF MY BRAIN

Don't get me started on HUNTS, its such a joke now why does it even exist? For some arbitrary coinage to get your hunter loot? These Hunts have long since lost their bite since ARR and or possibly after Heavensward and never really regained any real monster threat level when everyone across the server can just gang up on these monsters and end them in seconds. There is very very FEW particular S-Ranks that can even stand a chance, but they very rarely ever turn the tables on the players. This thing is a complete failure, and I won't pretend it has remained successful. What is the point of doing Hunt trains when smacking around helpless Hunts is considered fun when it isn't? GUESS I'll TURN OFF MY BRAIN

Dungeons:

Another thing casual base went and ruined because they complained it was too hard all the way back in ARR and when the changes were made it became streamlined, stale, boring...GUESS I'll TURN OFF MY BRAIN. Only time a pack of monsters was ever threatening is when they overwhelm a inexperienced healer and tank that try to take on two packs of monsters at once.

Ironically these monsters actually have monster skills they could use effectively, but way too slow to actually utilize it so the party members don't have to actually worry about using real tactics in combat.

You might as well remove the monsters and just leave the bosses in at this point.

oh wait...the bosses are stupidly easy too, so easy in fact it can put you to sleep and that is when the only time you'll find the Dungeons challenging. There is only been a few dungeon bosses that actually have correct balance where I seen players actually having to think about what is going on....but guess what? Last I checked certain bosses got nerfed to hell because the casual base "complained again".

God what is teamwork in MMORPGs at this point?

Jobs:

Because of what is going on with Dungeons our jobs were next to get streamlined, stale, and boring. Every job not having any special DPS damage variance output (except in places like Bozja where there is a entirely different system used), and everyone just hits for the same damage rating. Need proof? Look how fast bosses fall in alliance and 4-man content, it does not matter how powerful you get. The only real difference is your gear, and nothing else but that gear will always match with the synced content so you're not doing anything special and even materia barely does anything except maybe inch out maybe 1% more out of a boss.

The only real difference between DPS Jobs for example is their pretty over the top battle graphics.

Alliance Raids:

I can't recall a time I ever had fun with these as it always put me to sleep because it has the same problems with 4-man content and overland content except during the Ivalice Raids where I fondly remembered Thunder God Cid actually forcing alliances to cooperate with eachother which was a thing of beauty because he was actually decently hard until..."the playerbase complained again" and nerfed him. GUESS I'LL TURN MY BRAIN OFF

I used to joke saying "beware of the Thunder God" well I guess it doesn't mean anything now.

I guess we just can't have nice things?

Story Mode Battles (Trials):

You all have no idea how upset I was when the Endwalker final boss was such a pushover, the end of a story arc and the boss can't even do anything to you like everything else before it, and all its skills was just a mere formality like everything else before it. Nobody struggled with this boss, NOBODY. This crap has been like this since stormblood from my personal memories of this game where every story boss was such a pushover.

Sure they did eventually give difficulty options, but that was only for certain story bosses outside of trials.

I was left feeling nothing, but a hollow victory; I felt like I lost more than I actually won because I beat a weak A.I. program that didn't know what to do with itself, so it becomes Negative-Man from Earthbound. while the single player or party wails on the boss with glee because no strategy is involved.

Sure there is the "extreme raid" but that is not part of the story, and its just honestly insulting for other reasons.

=================================================================================

I know I'm gonna ruffle the feathers of the Casual base in this forum, but I've had enough and I'm tired of being pushed around and be told to shut up "because there is nothing wrong with this game, just accept everything" please think about our "low-skill level".

no, no I will not accept it. You're all destroying what little fun can be found in this game because of some BS trauma that happened in 1.0 when this game isn't 1.0 because I noticed how often you all pull the 1.0 card every time someone like me complained about this game's fun factor difficulty level like its a automatic kneejerk reaction.

I''m just done, every time the casual crowd complains about the next thing to the developers I'm calling it out so this nonsense will stop.
